ENGLISH FOR LAW

Preparation course for the ILEC

Fluent in LEGAL English?… ..for those working in the international legal community

Training specification

The International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) is an advanced-level English language exam recently introduced by Cambridge ESOL designed for non-native-speaking lawyers and law students who wish to show that they are linguistically competent to work in English in an international legal context.

NewLanguage is the only language school in Belgium offering preparatory courses for this exam, given by specialist trainers. The course follows the syllabus set by Cambridge ESOL and uses materials specifically designed for this purpose.

This examination, which can be taken twice-yearly in Brussels (May and November), tests the four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) by setting realistic, job-related tasks.

NewLanguage will deal with all the necessary registration procedures.
